Ryakasinga CHE started in 1982 as a community school by a group of people among whom is Hon. Prof. Epraim Kamuntu the current minister of wild life and antiquities. It is located in Shuuku town council in Sheema south constituency, Sheema district. The school was founded by church of Uganda in partnership with the community to fight illiteracy and promote affordable quality Education. The intention was to transform the society through training the head, the heart, and hands (3Hs). The first head teacher was late Kyankaga Elijah from 1982 to 1991.
Since its inception, Ryakasinga CHE has had nine head teachers including the current one Rev. Can. Duncans Mugumya. Ryakasinga CHE was licensed on 4th March 1996. It is registered and its registration number is PSS1R22. It is classified as O’ level day, and sits on 32.51, acres. The school was later grant aided government with both USE and UPOLET, and has a comprehensive status. Ryakakasinga CHE (RCHE) is mixed, Day and Boarding, S.1- S.6 offering both arts and science disciplines. The school also has a tertiary section which offers certificates and diplomas accredited by UBTEB. These courses include, Secretarial Studies, Accountancy, Catering and Hotel Management, among others.
